Starting at 15 years old with his brother Charles’ Big Band, Johnny was exposed at an early age to that jazzy feel. His time playing with the great Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey locked it in. Here we have some cool sophisticated tunes.

Many of these were sitting in Johnny’s file cabinet, never played and never heard.  Thank you to Christian Jacob for many of these great renditions!
